HR Audit and Executive Search
Western MN Hospital
Solutions:
We did a deep dive into the department’s operations, shadowing staff, interviewing employees across all levels, and reviewing the systems in place to understand the department’s strengths and weaknesses.
Our solutions leveraged technology to automate routine tasks and streamline daily processes. We also introduced clear communication channels, ensuring that every department knew who to turn to for HR support.
One of the most significant changes we made was in leadership — after extended coaching and mentorship of the Chief of HR, we decided it was necessary to conduct an external search. We worked closely with the executives to identify and hire an individual with high technical skill who embodies the culture and values of the organization.
After our turnaround of the HR department the hospital was on a new path. Our work showed that performance wasn’t just about process; it was about people, too.
Background: The HR department had long struggled with inefficiency. Distrust was high and morale was low. Employees found themselves waiting weeks for simple requests to be processed. The lack of an effective HR system had a ripple effect on the hospital’s culture, turning a once-supportive environment into a place of tension and burnout.
